HOSKINS, Fred O.

WILLIAMSPORT — Fred O. Hoskins Jr., 56, rural Williamsport, (Johnsonville), died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been in failing health several years. Born March 20, 1942 near West Lebanon, he was the son of Fred O. and Louise Wells Hoskins Sr. He married Betty J. Edgar June 20, 1963 in Cuba, Mo., who survives. He graduated from Seeger High School in 1962. He was a resident of Warren County and the Johnsonville community all his life. He was employed as a shipping clerk for ESCO Corp. in Danville, Ill. for 26 years. He then worked at West Lebanon Co-op, Veedersburg for several years, retiring in 1992 due to ill health. He was a member of the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, the outdoors and his grandchildren. Survivors include: sons, Keith (Jeana) Hoskins, State Line City, Brian (Kelli) Hoskins, Bismarck, Ill., Mike (Jami) Hoskins, West Lebanon; sisters, Ann (Richard) VanLeer, rural Williamsport, Patsy (Larry) Hobaugh, Williamsport; brother, Dale (Beverly) Hoskins, Williamsport; step-mother, Gerry Hoskins, Perrysville; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Joyce Humphreys. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John P. Francis officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to the family
